1. Intimate and present in my life (Ps. 139:1-18)

1. Insensitive and without compassion

1. Kind and compassionate (Ps. 103:8-14)

1. Harsh and demanding

1. Welcoming, full of joy and love (Rom. 15:7; Zeph. 3:17)

1. Passive and cold

1. Tender and affectionate (Is. 40:11; Hos. 11:3-4)

1. Absent or too busy for me

1. Always with me and eager to be at my side (Heb. 13:5; Jer. 31:20; Ezek. 34:11-16)

1. Never satisfied with what I do, impatient or angry

1. Patient and slow to anger (Ex. 34:6; 2 Pet. 3:9)

1. Cruel, mean, or abusive

1. Loving, tender, and protective toward me (Jer. 31:3; Is. 42:3; Ps. 18:2)

1. Trying to take all the fun out of life

1. Trustworthy and desires to give me a full life; His will is good, pleasing, and perfect for me (Lam. 3:22-23; Jn. 10:10; Rom. 12:1-2)

1. Controlling or manipulative

1. Full of grace and mercy, and gives me freedom to fail (Heb. 4:15-16; Lk. 15:11-16)

1. Condemning or unforgiving

1. Tender and forgiving; His heart and arms are always open to me (Ps. 130:1-4; Lk. 15:17-24)

1. Picky, perfectionist, or overly demanding

1. Committed to my growth and proud of me as His developing child (Rom. 8:28-29; Heb. 12:5-11; 2 Cor. 7:14)
